Cedarville Schools holds the fundamental belief in serving the needs of all students as unique individuals.  Gifted and talented children have special characteristics and learning styles and their potential for accomplishment is such that they require special provisions, experiences, and services that may not be provided in the regular instructional program.

We are committed to providing a program for identifying and meeting the needs and interests of our gifted and talented students.  The identification and placement of these students is based on documented objective and subjective evidence of above average intellectual ability, creative ability, cognitive skills, products, task commitment, and motivation.

A student may be referred for gifted services at any time throughout the school year in grades K-12, but are especially encouraged during the spring semester beginning in March.

Referrals can be made by: Parents, Teachers, Peers, Self, and/or other Community Members.
