CMS lost a crew member this past weekend. Ms. Shirley was a custodian at CMS and one of our biggest cheerleaders. She greeted everybody with a smile and kind words every morning, and she always put us in a good mood. She was loud, spoke her mind, and there was no wondering if she was in the building. The halls will not be the same without Ms. Shirley, but we know she is finally healed.
For over 2 years, I had the privilege of working alongside my mom. Every day was "Bring Your Mother to Work Day," and I would not trade it for anything. She was a kind soul who had a servant's heart. She was the perfect picture of what a strong work ethic is and how we should treat others with kindness and compassion. My mom was a rock star, and I strive to be like her every day.
